1 Killed, 37 Injured in Crash of Gamblers’ Bus

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A bus filled with gamblers bound for Atlantic City overturned Wednesday on the Garden State Parkway, killing one person and injuring 37 others, eight of them critically, police said.
Passers-by stopped along the parkway to help passengers, many of them elderly, off the bus through emergency exits, medical officials said. Twenty ambulances and paramedic units carried the survivors, including the driver, to four hospitals, they said.
