Biosite Diagnostics, a start-up San Diego company trying to develop visual diagnostic tests for drugs and industrial toxins, announced that it has received $3 million in second-round venture capital financing. The company received $600,000 in seed capital from Biovest Partners of San Diego in April.
Recent investors included Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Medicus Ventures and Euclid Partners.
