For Some, Neneh’s No Joni . . . Period

I find it offensive to compare a hip-hop singer to Joni Mitchell (“The Joni Mitchell of Hip-Hop,” Robert Hilburn’s July 16 article on Neneh Cherry).

Mitchell’s accomplishments as a singer, songwriter and composer in folk, rock and jazz far exceed those of any other woman in the music industry today. Why Mr. Hilburn chose this cheap comparison I do not know.
