Sixteen activists protesting the presence of an international all-star rugby team were arrested outside the team’s hotel in Durban, South Africa, shortly before the opening game of its controversial tour.
The arrests occurred as two protest leaders entered the hotel to deliver a letter to the team, which includes players from Australia, France and Britain.
The international team scored a 33-20 victory over Natal Province.
