You ran an article recently about the political situation in many foreign countries (World Travel Watch, Aug. 6), and the outlook wasn’t good in any of them.
With so many problems and dangers all over the world, I have to wonder why Americans go to so much bother and expense. Why not just go to nearby Canada or Mexico, two disparate and quite wonderful countries and perhaps even more safe than staying at home.
