Price of NYSE Seat Falls: A seat on the New York Stock Exchange changed hands at the lowest price in nearly three years. The seat fetched $475,000, the lowest price since Nov. 3, 1986, when a seat sold for $460,000. The price was about 58.7% lower than the peak level of $1.15 million set on Sept. 21, 1987. It came the day after the Dow Jones industrial index and other major stock indexes closed at all-time highs.
