The Jacmar Co. has advised Provena Foods Inc. that it is unable to proceed with the purchase of Provena’s Sav-On Food Co. food product distribution division at the proposed price. The two companies had announced an agreement in principle for the transaction last month. The price was not disclosed. Provena, based in Santa Ana, is a specialty food processor and distributor.
