Brea Shuts Down Magnolia for 36-7 Victory

BREA — Senior quarterback Chad Marlow threw two touchdown passes and ran for another in the first half, sparking Brea-Olinda High School to a 36-7 Orange League victory over Magnolia Friday night before a crowd of 3,500.
The Wildcats improved to 7-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference while Magnolia dropped to 0-9 and 0-4.
Brea-Olinda led, 14-0, after its first two possessions.
Marlow completed eight of 15 passes for 112 yards and senior running back Ed Stewart, the leading Brea rusher this season, carried 12 times for 103 yards.
Stewart also had a 24-yard touchdown run with 4:17 remaining in the second quarter to give Brea-Olinda a 27-0 lead.
The Wildcats rolled up 318 yards in total offense to Magnolia’s 81. Pat McNeil led the Sentinels with 65 yards rushing and scored their only touchdown, a 20-yard run with 7:04 remaining in the game.
