Thousand Oaks 34, Warren 13--Thousand Oaks scored three unanswered touchdowns in the first quarter and cruised to an easy win at Warren (3-6) in Downey.
Thousand Oaks quarterback Scott Peterson, who completed three of eight passes for 29 yards and threw one interception, scored on a 28-yard run. Tailback Mike Lindsay, who finished with 69 yards in 13 carries, ran 14 yards for a touchdown to give the Lancers a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
A third-down quick kick by Warren’s Rick DeLeon was blocked by Thousand Oaks (8-0-1) and recovered at the Warren two-yard line by Nick Ochoa. Cory Bowen, who rushed for 51 yards in seven carries, ran for the touchdown on the next play, the last of the first quarter, to make the score 21-0.
Lindsay ran 23 yards around the left side to give the Lancers a 27-6 lead after a blocked punt midway through the third quarter.
