NBC will be stepping back in history Sunday night from 9-11, while CBS counters with a contemporary drama at the same time.
On NBC, “Cross of Fire” is constructed around the rise and fall of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920s, with John Heard and Mel Harris heading the cast. Sunday’s two hours will be followed by a two-hour conclusion Monday from 9-11 p.m. (Channels 4, 36, 39).
CBS’ new movie Sunday is “Taken Away,” placing Valerie Bertinelli as a single working mother about to lose her daughter (Juliet Sorcey) because authorities suspect she is not a proper parent, 9-11 p.m. (Channels 2 and 8).
