Linebacker Mark Tingstad of Arizona State was in stable and satisfactory condition Sunday, a day after colliding with Washington quarterback Cary Conklin at Husky Stadium in Seattle.
Tingstad did not suffer a neck or back fracture and did not lose consciousness after the collision, University of Washington Medical Center spokesman Larry Zalin said. Zalin said doctors will check for soft-tissue injuries.
