Using Library Can Be a Moving Experience

HOMEWOOD, Ill. — Homewood Library is suggesting a limit on the number of books patrons check out--at least 10.
The library is about to move into a new building, and to help save on moving costs officials are asking residents to check out as many of the 93,000 volumes as possible.
“They won’t be due until after the new library opens Feb. 14. We want people to bring them back there,” administrative librarian Larry Gelfius said.
Ground was broken in 1988 on the $3-million library that will more than double the space of the current building, which was built in 1961.
