Coach Pulls Team Off Court After Dispute

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Capistrano Valley Christian High School was awarded a forfeit over Brethren Thursday when the Olympic League girls’ basketball game was stopped after the Brethren team was pulled from the court by its coach in a dispute over officiating.
Capistrano Valley Christian led, 37-19, when the game was stopped at the end of the third quarter. The Brethren coach was called for a technical foul in the second quarter and another in the third. She was ejected for arguing with the referee, according to Tim Shelton, Capistrano Valley Christian coach.
