Mycogen: The San Diego-based biotechnology company that sells and develops biopesticides reported a $258,000 loss on first-quarter revenue of $2.5 million, contrasted with a $736,000 loss on revenue of $1.4 million for the same three months last year. The company also announced it is changing its fiscal year to end Dec. 31 instead of the previous Sept. 30 closing date, aligning Mycogen’s financial reporting schedule with that of the agricultural industry in general.
