Businessland Expands Rental Division: The nation’s largest personal computer retail chain, Businessland Inc., said it hopes to become a major player in the $300-million-a-year PC rental business with the opening of rental outlets in Los Angeles, Houston and Chicago. The move comes as sales of new personal computers continue their yearlong slowdown, leaving manufacturers and retailers alike scrambling for new ways to make up the slack.
