Abortion Ruling
I noticed a small article (Jan. 12) about a federal judge blocking sections of Pennsylvania’s illegal, fundamentalist anti-choice legislation.
Although I believe that any restrictions to a woman’s reproductive rights are illegal, at least two of the harsher limitations were blocked. Requiring women to wait 24 hours and requiring married women to notify their husbands is blatantly discriminatory and implies that women must be protected from their own decisions.
A woman’s abortion is not the church’s decision, not a legislator’s decision and not her neighbor’s decision--it is her decision.
