Hearing on Hammer Museum Money Set: A Delaware judge has scheduled an April 4 hearing on a proposed settlement of shareholder litigation against Occidental Petroleum Corp. that challenges the use of Occidental money to finance the Armand Hammer Museum of Art and Cultural Center. The lawsuit involved is one of two pending shareholder actions that seek to block plans for the museum, which is under construction in Westwood. In a second shareholder suit, New York investor Alan R. Kahn has opposed the settlement proposal. The California Public Employees Retirement System, the state’s largest pension plan, is also petitioning to enter the case. Delaware Vice Chancellor Maurice Hartnett is expected to hear arguments at the hearing in Wilmington on the settlement proposal.
