Man Shot to Death in Silver Lake; 2 Flee

A 33-year old man was shot to death Saturday in front of an apartment building in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The man, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was shot about 2:20 p.m. outside 2850 Riverside Drive, police said.
He was seen talking to a man on the steps of the building for about 15 minutes. Another man then walked up, pulled a handgun, and shot the victim in the upper torso, police said. The gunman and the first man fled in a blue vehicle.
