STANTON : City Opens 24-Hour Information Line
- Share via
The city of Stanton has opened a telephone information line that gives residents a recorded schedule of events sponsored by the city.
The line, which was installed last month, provides a three-minute recorded message containing City Council meeting schedules, the mayor’s office hours, information on special-interest classes, such as courses on income tax preparation, and numbers for city offices. The message is updated every month.
“We wanted to develop a device through which we could provide information to the community,” said Terry Matz, the city manager. “We’re providing a summary of information that we think people will need.”
Matz said members of the council last year suggested the city open an information line to keep residents better posted on upcoming events. He added: “This is a 24-hour service. We hope people will take advantage of it.”
The Information Line number is (714) 220-0500.
