Mother Accused of Fatally ‘Quieting’ Baby With Drug

CALDWELL, Ida. — A woman was jailed without bond Thursday on charges that she killed her 2-month-old son with an overdose of cocaine to keep him from crying. Maria Reyes, 22, was to appear for arraignment this morning before 3rd District Judge Dennis E. Goff on a felony charge of causing injury to a child.
