Gencorp Sale to Walt Disney Complete: Gencorp said it completed the license transfer of Los Angeles television station KHJ, now known as KCAL, to Walt Disney Co. The Federal Communications Commission in July, 1988, granted approval of the sale, but the transfer was held up because of an appeal in federal court by Gold Coast Broadcasting of San Francisco. Gencorp said the appeal has now been dismissed. Gencorp has sold a number of its television and radio stations in recent years.
