UNLV Athletic Director Brad Rothermel announced that he will step down from his post on Dec. 31 to return to teaching after 10 years as head of the Rebels’ program.
He said a major goal had been to head a program involving a national champion. That goal was realized on April 2 when UNLV won the NCAA basketball title.
