SHORT TAKES : ‘Good Morning’ Goes to the Tour

ABC’s “Good Morning America” will provide daily coverage of the 2,112-mile, 23-day Tour de France bicycle race from June 30 to July 22.
The network’s coverage will include eight special telecasts--four on “Wide World of Sports” on consecutive Saturdays and four broadcasts on consecutive Sundays--in addition to the daily progress of the race on the morning show.
The 77th running of the Tour de France will cover more than 15 mountain passes in 21 stages of the race, that last of which finishes on the Champs Elysees in Paris.
