Justice Blackmun Enters Mayo Clinic for Checkup

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun was registered as a patient Wednesday at Mayo Clinic to undergo his annual checkup, a spokeswoman said. Blackmun, 81, a former Rochester resident, served as the clinic’s legal counsel prior to his appointment to the high court 20 years ago.
