A 25-year-old Oxnard man lost control of his car on Gonzales Road and was ejected as it flipped several times before landing in a sod field, authorities said.
Rubin J. Tamayo, who was driving alone, was in serious condition Sunday in the intensive care unit at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. Tamayo suffered broken ribs, a broken collarbone and internal bleeding in the 11:35 p.m. Saturday crash, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
Tamayo was driving east about 55 m.p.h. when his car left the roadway near Victoria Avenue and flipped three times, the CHP said.
