CBS Wins Premiere Night: CBS won the Monday ratings race during the first night of premiere week for the new fall TV season. The network averaged a 16.8 rating and 27 share with its comedy lineup, compared to 14.7/24 for ABC and a 12.8/21 for NBC. Big surprise of the evening was CBS’ “Uncle Buck,” upsetting NBC’s “Fresh Prince,” which had been the odds-on favorite to win the 8-8:30 time period.
