Major Robot: KCET Channel 28 has joined the barrage of television crews in the Middle East. A production team from the PBS station is in the gulf region to film part of a documentary about robotic weapons, called “Killing Machines.” The question under investigation: Will robots and computers one day take the place of humans on the battlefield? The special, which will be produced by KCET and WGHB in Boston for the “Nova” series, will look into the high-tech weapons deployed by the U.S. in the Middle East. It is set to air nationally on PBS Nov. 13 at 8 p.m.
