Moorpark 20, L.A. Southwest 7--Freddie Bradley rushed for 154 yards on 22 carries and scored all three Moorpark touchdowns in a Western State Conference game at Moorpark.
Bradley scored on runs of one, six and 58 yards. Moorpark (4-0, 3-0) ran the ball on 45 of its 62 offensive plays.
Southwest (1-3, 0-3) quarterback Craig Manigo, who completed 14 of 31 passes for 189 yards, hit Robert Avery with a 30-yard touchdown pass to cut Moorpark’s lead to 14-7 in the fourth quarter. But Bradley scored his final touchdown to secure the victory.
“I think Bradley sets them apart from everyone else,” Southwest Coach Henry Washington said.
Moorpark has a showdown next week against Bakersfield, which is also undefeated.
