Dance Appointments: A new president and chief executive officer has come on board at Dance Gallery, the new arts complex conceived by Bella Lewitzky to be built in the heart of Los Angeles at California Plaza. Martin I. Kagan last served as executive director of Washington’s OPERA America, the service organization of professional opera companies in North America and abroad. He has also managed the Dennis Wayne Dancers, the Anna Wyman Dance Theatre and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.
