COLLEGE FOOTBALL REPORT / WEEKDAY UPDATE : UCLA : Brown Seeks Another 100-Yard Game
- Share via
UCLA tailback Brian Brown will be going after his fourth consecutive game of 100 yards or more when the Bruins play California Saturday at Berkeley.
Last year, no Bruin ran for 100 yards in a game, the first time since 1963 UCLA didn’t have a 100-yard rusher. In 1988, however, Eric Ball had four consecutive 100-yard games.
Brown, who also returns kickoffs, had 222 all-purpose yards in last Saturday night’s 45-31 victory over San Diego State at the Rose Bowl.
He is UCLA’s all-time leader in kickoff return yardage with 1,331 yards. He’s averaging 20.6 yards a return this season.
