THE SIDELINES : Cowboys’ Slaton on Injured List

IRVING, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys today placed seven-year veteran guard Tony Slaton on injured reserve after he strained his lower back.
Slaton, a 6-3, 280-pounder from USC, suffered the injury during practice Wednesday. He started this season’s first four games at right guard.
