Nissan Eyes Alabama and Tennessee Sites: The Japanese auto maker said its first U.S. engine plant may be built in Decherd, Tenn., or Athens, Ala. The factory would supply parts for the Sentras and light trucks manufactured at Nissan’s Smyrna, Tenn., plant. The company bought options on land at both sites, which are within 100 miles of Smyrna.
