OXNARD : Man Is Stabbed Outside Market

A stabbing outside a la Colonia market in Oxnard on Sunday left one man hospitalized and another in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.
Oxnard police Lt. Tom Cady said the victim had an argument with two other men at 1:10 p.m. outside Ben’s Market, 700 Cooper Road.
The victim, who was not identified by police, was stabbed several times in the abdomen and was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
Cady said one of the suspects escaped but a group of people detained the other suspect, holding him until police arrived. His name has not been released by police.
An investigation is continuing.
