California IN BRIEF : FAIRFIELD : Boy Dies at Hospital; Police Seek Fugitive

A 23-year-old San Francisco man wanted in a slaying in San Francisco in June also was being sought for questioning in the death of a 2-year-old boy in Fairfield. Police said Franklin Eugene Taylor brought the child, Nathaniel Joshua, to North Bay Hospital in Fairfield on and that the boy died soon after being admitted. The child had been beaten with fists or a blunt instrument, police said.
