Times Reporter Is Honored

A series of stories written by Times sportswriter Paul McLeod has been named among the top five entries by daily newspapers nationwide in the Women’s Sports Foundation 1990 Journalism Award competition.
The stories, which appeared eight months apart in the South Bay Edition, dealt with Victoria Brucker, the 12-year-old San Pedro girl who was the first female to start in a Little League World Series game.
