Birmingham 14, Monroe 7--Birmingham quarterback Vince Lampkin passed for 175 yards and one touchdown and Darrell Moore rushed for 156 yards in 18 carries as Birmingham (6-2, 5-1) clinched the league title.

Lampkin’s 80-yard pass to Pierre Desrosiers gave the Braves a 6-0 lead in the second quarter.

Monroe (1-6-1, 1-5) was led by quarterback Ramy Antoun, who completed nine of 23 passes for 138 yards. Monroe took a 7-6 lead on a one-yard run by Jason St. John with 6 minutes 15 seconds remaining. Birmingham came back on the next series, scoring on Moore’s 75-yard run.
