CITY SECTION FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Carter Leads Kennedy Past Reseda
- Share via
Senior tailback Ontiwaun Carter broke loose for three long touchdown runs to lead Kennedy High to a 38-21 North Valley League victory over visiting Reseda in the inaugural football meeting between the schools Friday night.
The defeat spoiled Reseda’s hopes for a league title in its first season in the City Section 4-A Division.
Reseda (5-4, 3-4) stopped Kennedy (6-4, 3-4) on its first four extra-point tries--including a pair of two-point attempts--but the Regents couldn’t stop Carter. The senior tailback rushed for 228 yards in just 12 carries and scored on runs of 66, 64 and 90 yards.
