Libya May Be Marketing Iraqi Oil: Libya, which has voiced support for Iraq, may be trying to pawn off Iraqi oil as its own to get around the international embargo against Baghdad--and may be selling the crude at a discount, Petroleum Intelligence Weekly reported. The industry newsletter quoted unnamed market sources as saying that Libya has offered cargoes of Iraqi oil at $1 to $2 a barrel below the price of comparable grades of crude. The German Economics Ministry has warned that Libyan shipments may actually contain Iraqi crudes, the newsletteradded.
