SIMI VALLEY : New Councilwomen, Mayor to Take Oaths

Simi Valley Mayor Greg Stratton will take the oath of office for the third time, while Sandi Webb and Judy Mikels will be sworn in as new council members during ceremonies today at City Hall.
Stratton, who easily defeated retired Los Angeles bus driver Alfred J. Wilson in the Nov. 6 election, has served as mayor since 1986. He has served on the council since 1979.
Sandi Webb, a local businesswoman, and Judy Mikels, former chairwoman of the Planning Commission, beat six other candidates, including incumbent Ann Rock, competing for two seats on the council.
The swearing-in ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers.
