Canyon, Villa Park Players Sign With USC

ANAHEIM —  Greg Tippin of Canyon High School and Aaron Boone of Villa Park have signed letters of intent to play baseball at USC, Boone and Canyon Coach Hi Lavalle said Monday.

Tippin, the Comanches’ co-captain, plays first base, outfield and also pitches.

He hit .355 last season with three home runs and 18 runs batted in. As a pitcher, he had a record of 3-4 with a 2.54 earned-run average.

Boone hit .370 and had 13 stolen bases for Villa Park last season and will play infield for USC.
