Pepsi to Split From Perrier: Pepsico Inc. won a court battle to break its business relationship with Source Perrier and take direct control of its soft-drink operations in France next year. A Paris commercial court recognized that the franchise bottling relationship between Pepsi Cola France SA and a unit of Source Perrier SA will expire at the end of this year. Officials at Perrier, the maker of the well-known sparkling mineral water, had no comment. Pepsi’s market share in France fell to 9% from 18% over a 10-year period, and the firm blamed inadequate distribution efforts by Perrier.
