Central High Has to Forfeit Game

Central High of El Centro was eliminated from the Southern Section Division V football playoffs Friday for using an ineligible player in its previous two games.
Central administrators told the Southern Section office early Friday that a player who was academically ineligible had played in the school’s playoff victories over Montclair and Elsinore.
Central’s scheduled semifinal game against Etiwanda tonight at Chaffey College has been canceled.
Etiwanda (12-0) advances to the championship game next Friday. Central finished the season at 9-3.
