The Freedom’s Wing catamaran from the Chula Vista Yacht Club routed its French rival by 45 minutes in the first race of a best-of-seven semifinal for the Little America’s Cup at McCrae, Australia. The American boat is sailed by Pete Melvin and Steve Rosenberg of Long Beach.
