LSU Pulls Rank on Long Beach Women

Dana Chatman scored 19 points to lead No. 17 Louisiana State to a 67-63 victory over No. 19 Cal State Long Beach in a nonconference women’s basketball at Long Beach.
It was the third consecutive loss for the 49ers, who open Big West Conference play Sunday against New Mexico State.
Dana Wilkerson led Long Beach with 18 points. Penny Moore added 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds and Trise Jackson scored 10 for the 49ers.
Sheila Johnson led LSU with nine rebounds.
