Body of Boy Slain by Gunfire Is Found

The body of a 16-year-old boy who had been shot several times was found Thursday at a Norwalk park, sheriff’s officials said.
Jody Rodriguez was found dead about 7:40 a.m. by a city employee walking through Hermosillo Park at Elaine Avenue and 162nd Street.
The 16-year-old had been shot several times, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy George Ducoulombier said. Homicide detectives had not determined whether the slaying was gang-related, he said.
