Remi, 1451 Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica. (213) 393-6545. Color this dinner red. Sweet red pepper soup; red beet gnocchi; ravioli with ricotta and red chard; passion fruit sorbet; and a glass of rose are just a few of the red items on this prix fixe menu. $100 per couple.
Salisbury Manor Restaurant, 1190 W. Adams Blvd., Los Angeles. (213) 749-1190. Lavender and lace. A five-course dinner with candlelight, flowers, fireplace and an Irish harpist at this elegantly restored stone historical mansion. $35 per person.
Verdi, 1519 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica. (213) 393-0706. Some enchanted evening. Dinner for two includes a three-course menu with several entree choices, a bottle of wine or champagne. Music for the evening includes romantic opera arias, and “A Tribute to Richard Rodgers.” $90 per couple.
