Pomona Women Defeat Barry

Senior guard Debbie Wagner’s 25-foot basket at the final buzzer gave Cal Poly Pomona a 67-64 victory over Barry (Fla.) in the first round of the NCAA Division II West Regional women’s basketball tournament Friday night at Cal State Stanislaus.
The No. 15 Broncos (21-8) play UC Davis tonight at 7 for the regional title. UC Davis (26-4) beat Cal State Stanislaus, 64-45, in the other first-round game.
