UCLA Women Overcome USC

The USC women’s basketball team shot a season-high 53.3%, but still lost to UCLA, 83-79, in the Pacific 10 Conference finale Friday night at the Lyon Center.
UCLA (15-13, 10-8) took the lead for good at 71-70 with five minutes left when freshman Natalie Williams made two free throws. USC (17-11, 11-7) tied it at 72-72 with 3:37 left, but the Bruins scored 10 of the final 14 points of the game.
