Peter Dalis, UCLA’s athletic director, announced that the school will eliminate men’s and women’s crew and water polo because of budget constraints. Athletes will be allowed to transfer to other schools without losing eligibility. Those who stay will be kept on scholarship until their eligibility would have ended.
