Bill Lane Doulos, 47, former executive director of Union Station Foundation, will be honored at 5 p.m. Thursday at a public reception in the Pasadena City Hall rotunda.
Mayor Jess Hughston has proclaimed Thursday “Bill Lane Doulos Day” in recognition of Doulos’ 17 years of helping Pasadena’s poor, hungry and homeless.
Doulos, a staff member at All Saints Episcopal Church, is working to provide affordable housing in the San Gabriel Valley. For three years, until his resignation in December, he oversaw operation of Union Station Depot, a 20-bed shelter for the homeless, which later expanded to a 36-bed shelter at 412 S. Raymond Ave.
Items for People in the News may be mailed to 1333 Mayflower Ave., Suite 200, Monrovia, 91016.
